Now a days many types of hair oils are available in the market. Those 10 in 1, 7 in 1, 5 in 1 hair oils definitely sounds good and attracts our attention but somewhere their effects are not so attractive.
The oils which we purchase with so much of expectations do not live up to the mark. With the increase in the price our expectations increases too but with that price all we get is disappointments.
But what if we prepare our own oil at home? What if we don't have to rely on market products? What if we could maintain the hygiene and the quality of the product?
Atleast with that we can be sure about the effect it will have on our hair.
So today I'll be sharing home made oil which will make your hair long, thick and reduce hairfall.
To prepare this oil you'll need only 6 ingredients.
- Bhringraj (with roots)
- Aloevera 3 to 4 leaves
These both are the major ingredients in the oil. Other than them you'll need -
- Phyllanthus niruri (also known as stone breaker) with roots
- Brahmi
- Wild Indian Yam
- Coconut oil
How to prepare
- Wash all the plants and leaves in a bucket full of water to remove all the mud and dirt.
- Crush the roots as it will be hard to grind them in grinder.
- After crushing Bhringraj roots will appear darker in colour.
- Put all the plants in a grinder. Do not use water to grind them. Instead use aloevera gel from the leaves. It has enough water in it.
- You'll get a paste which will have a little watery consistency.
- Filter the juice or paste using a cotton cloth.
- In the residue, add some more water and filter again to get the whole juice out of it.
- Prepare this juice in little more quantity as it will be difficult to prepare it again and again.
- Now in about 3l of this juice add around 2l of coconut oil.
- After adding oil heat it on a gas stove on low to medium flame.
- Use a large container and stir the oil continuously as the oil might over flow like a boiled milk.
- This oil will take around 2 to 3 hours to prepare.
- You'll see that the oil is clearer now.
- Keep it off the flame to cool it down.
- Filter the oil again with the help of a cotton cloth.
- Store it in a container.
- Mix all the powders in a bowl and add water to get a thick paste like consistency.
- In 2 litres coconut oil add around 8 litres of water (4 times) and add that paste in to it.
- Heat the oil on gas stove on low to medium flame till the water evaporates.
- Dip a paper in the oil and burn it.
- If you hear any crackling sound that means there is still some water in the oil.
- Heat the oil for some more time and check again till the crackling sound stops.
- Just apply it directly on your scalp and massage it using your fingertips.
- Keep the oil for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
- Wash it in the morning as usual.
