Best and most effective DIYs to get glowing skin

 Who, in this era, doesn't want to be beautiful? Everybody wish to have a beautiful glowing skin. A glowing skin is an indicator of good health that can capture the attention of many people around us. No wonder why face masks are so popular nowadays.

We do switch on to various marketing products that promises us to give us a beautiful glowing skin. But what if it doesn't? Simple, we'll change the product. But till when? These marketing fairness products may contain chemicals which can affect our skin in an adverse way. Sometimes these side-effects can be life long.


But then we cannot leave our skin on its own. Our skin too need some pampering care and nourishment. 

So the best way to deal with it is DIYs

So here I am sharing some of my personal favourite DIYs that will make your skin glow like never before.


Honey face mask


Good for scars and dark spots. 

Ingredients

2 tablespoons honey

1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice. 

Method 

1. Combine honey and lemon juice together. 

2. Apply it directly on your face. 

3. Allow it to sit for 20 to 30 minutes. 

4. Rinse.

Please note:- Lemon juice is relatively strong ingredient. It is best to limit the number of times you use this mask to 1 to 2 mask per week. 
Also patch test is recommended.

Tomato and cucumber face mask. 






Both are natural astringents that help in tightening of the pores. This mask has a cooling effect.

Ingredients 

1/2 ripe tomato

1/4 cucumber

Methods

1. Wash and peel 1/4 cucumber.

2. Blend it into a fine paste with 1/2 tomato. 

3. Apply it all over your face. 

4. Let it sit for 15 minutes. 

5. Rinse.


 Almond oil and Aloe Vera face mask





This mask is very effective in treating dry and flaky skin. It moisturizes and hydrates the skin. 

Ingredients 

Aloe vera gel

Almond oil

Banana

Method

1. In a mixing bowl mash banana using fork. 

2. Add 2 teaspoons of Aloe Vera gel to it.

3. Stir it properly using a spoon. 

4. Add 3 teaspoons of almond oil. 

5. Mix thoroughly. 

6. Apply to clean skin. 

7. Let it sit for 15 minutes. 

8. Rinse. 


Oatmeal face mask




One of the best  and most effective mask to provide a natural glow to your skin. Oatmeal can soak up the excess oil on your skin and help treat acne. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties help to treat dry skin and remove dead skin cells.

Ingredients

3 teaspoons oats or oatmeal

1 teaspoon almond or plain milk (slightly warm)

One teaspoon rose water

1 teaspoon plain or coconut yoghurt

Method

1. Blend oats in a Blender with slightly warm milk. 

2. Stir until it forms a thick paste. 

3. Add rose water and yoghurt to it. 

4. Apply it on clean and damp skin. 

5. Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes. 

6. Remove it while scrubbing the mask. 

7. Rinse thoroughly.


Aloe vera face mask 





This one is a hydrating mask. Using aloe vera for the face can help moisturize and soothe skin. Aloe vera can help treat a range of skin conditions.


Ingredients

1 teaspoon aloe vera gel 

2 teaspoon milk cream 

A Pinch of turmeric.

Method 

1. Mix all the ingredients to form a paste like consistency. 

2. Apply evenly on face and neck. 

3. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. 

4. Rinse with lukewarm water.


Tomato face mask





Tomato reduces pores and blackheads from your skin. Not only do tomatoes acts as astringents but also wakes up the dullest skins and lightens it. 

Ingredients 

2 teaspoon tomato juice 

3 teaspoon buttermilk

Method

1. Take 2 teaspoon tomato juice and add buttermilk to it. 

2. Mix well using a spoon. 

3. Apply it all over your face and neck using a cotton ball. 

4. Leave it for 30 minutes. 

5. Rinse. 


Turmeric face mask






Remove dead skin and fights with acne and any resulting scar. The anti-inflammatory qualities can target your pores and calm the skin

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon baking soda 

1 to 2 teaspoon rose water 

Method

1. Mix turmeric powder with baking powder. 

2. Slowly add rose water and mix until you get a smooth paste. 

3. Apply it on your face and neck. 

4. Let it sit for 5 minutes. 

5. Wet your fingertips and massage your face in gentle circular motion to remove dead skin. 

6. Keep massaging for few minutes. 

7. Rinse with lukewarm water first and then with cold water. 

Please note:- You can use wild turmeric instead of turmeric powder to avoid yellowness on your skin. 


Besan (gram flour) face mask





Fights with acne, help in removing tan, exfoliates the skin and so on. This one mask has been used since ages and still a very popular one. 

Ingredients

2 teaspoon besan 

1 teaspoon Milk or Honey 

1 teaspoon lemon juice 

Method

1. Mix ingredients and make a smooth paste. 

2. You can use water also to get a proper consistency. 

3. Apply it on your face. 

4. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. 

5. Rinse.


Orange face mask





Loaded with vitamin C. It can regulate the production of sebum in our skin, thereby balancing its natural oil as well as making it firm and healthy.

Ingredients

Orange peel powder 2 teaspoon 

1 teaspoon Sandalwood powder. 

Water or rose water (for oily skin) Milk or yoghurt (for dry skin) 

Method

1. Take 2 teaspoons of orange peel powder and add Sandalwood powder to it. 

2. Add enough water or milk to get a paste like consistency. 

3. Apply it evenly on your face and neck. 

4. Allow it to sit for 20 to 30 minutes. 

5. Rinse with normal water.


Papaya face mask 





This will help in moisturising your skin as well as bring an instant glow.

Ingredients 

Small piece of papaya 

1 teaspoon honey

Method

1. Mash papaya using a fork and add honey to it. 

2. Apply it directly on your face. 

3. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes. 

4. Rinse with lukewarm water.


Note:- Some of the ingredients used in above diys may relatively be strong for the people with sensitive skin. 
Always do a patch test before using any mask
If you feel any kind of redness or irritation on your skin please don't use it.
If you have any kind of skin condition consult your dermatologist before trying any of the face mask.
