Women and girls of Kerala (India) are mainly known for their beautiful long hair. It's always a wonder how they got such beautiful hair. Somewhere we too wish to have such hair.
So I recently came across this hair pack which is believed that it came from Kerala.
After a thorough research I came to know that this hair pack has been used since ages by the women there. THE THALI HAIRPACK.
Generally women there use all natural ingredients which are easily available in Kerala. But these natural are not available everywhere. Hence herbal powders can also be used that we can get online and are available in markets too.
To prepare this thali pack you'll need
- Aloevera leaves
- Neem leaves
- Hibiscus leaves and flowers
- Flaxseeds
- Curry leaves
- Fenugreek seeds
- Heena leaves
- Amla or Indian gooseberry
- Bhringraj leaves
- Rosemary leaves
Method
- Wash all the leaves in a bucket full of water to get rid of all the mud and dirt.
- Keep it under sun for a week. Aloevera leaves may take longer to dry. Cut it in small pieces.
- Cut amla into small pieces and remove their seeds. It will take around 15 days to dry up.
- When all the leaves dries, crush them.
- Grind them all into fine powders.
- Mix all the powders in equal quantity. You can also adjust the quantities according to your own preferences.
- Store it in an airtight container.
- Now take required amount of powder in a bowl.
- Make a thick spreadable paste with the help of water, curd or an egg.
- Apply this paste evenly on your hair and scalp and leave it on for 2 to 3 hours.
- Wash your hair only with the help of water.
- Use a mild shampoo next day to wash your hair.
